The Mediating Effect of Hope on the Influence of the Quality of Self Support Service on Self Support Will

Abstract
This study is to suggest implications for public policies by figuring out if there is a mediating effect of degree of hope which is, the degree of characteristics to find ways to set up and achieve goals in life, on the relationship between quality of Self Support Service and self support will. For this purpose, 680 participants in Self Support Service agencies were surveyed and among them, 640 participant answered and finally without 5 insufficient answers, 635 answers got chosen and analyzed. The results are as follows ; first, the better quality of self support service there was, the higher self support will participants had. Second, as the quality of Self Support Service was important to enhance self support will, hope of participants was also important as well. Based on these results, there are four implications suggested. First, in the quality of self Support Service, specifically the quality of programs need to be enhanced so that staffs in the Self Service agencies could implement self support programs more systemically. Second, to enhance the self support will of participants in Self Support Service agencies, the central government, local governments and Self Support Service agencies should cooperate together and try to improve the quality of Self Support Service. Third, to encourage hope of participants, new self support services considering participants`` character strength should be systemically developed. Fourth, to enhance and keep hope of participants, the role of case management in self support service agencies should be redefined and enhanced.
